Overview
The Bella Mare apartments are located around the delightfully quiet beach of Avlaki. A beautiful pool and landscaped garden surroundings complete the picture to create an excellent base for your holiday to Corfu.

If you are looking for a relaxing holiday, the Bella Mare could hardly be bettered, but for those who enjoy some excitement and activity now and then, there is an excellent water sports centre on the beach, with windsurfing and sailing tuition. The sea-bathing is exhilarating, and this wonderful pebble beach is one of Corfu's Blue Flag beaches. Two excellent tavernas are on the beach, just a few steps away, and provide a choice of mouth-watering local dishes for lunch or dinner.

Layout
The Bella Mare accommodation is distributed between three villa-style buildings, placed to afford maximum privacy for the occupants, with easy access to Avlaki Beach and extensive landscaped gardens. A huge swimming pool, well-equipped with plenty of umbrellas and sun loungers and complemented by a separate children's pool, overlooks the sapphire blue waters of Avlaki bay.
Occupying a beach front site, where lawns and landscaped gardens slope gently towards the sea. The studios and apartments are distributed between three buildings set apart from each other for maximum privacy. There is a reception building with a lounge where guests can take breakfast buffet-style if they wish. A huge swimming pool overlooks the sea, with a smaller pool for children adjacent. Lawns surround the pool areas, and there is a pool bar where guests can obtain drinks and snacks, and play a game of table tennis.
Studios are spacious and have a double bed, kitchen and small dining area, bathroom with full-sized bath and shower fitting, and a pleasant balcony/verandah. Some studios have an optional single bed suitable for a child. Bedroom with double bed, kitchen, dining area with lounge and two single beds, bathroom with full-sized bath and shower fitting, balcony or verandah.

The owners and their staff are friendly, efficient and dedicated to providing a happy and trouble-free holiday for their guests.

Rooms
All rooms are fitted out to the same high standard. The rooms are provided with a small but convenient kitchenette. The pleasant bathrooms include a full bath and shower attachment. Balconies overlook a beautiful view of the green lawns and ideally-sited swimming pool, with the sparkling bay of Avlaki, enclosed by green headlands, in the background. A perfect spot for relaxing, with shade if you need it, and a very charming view. Balconies are of course equipped with outdoor furniture. Patio doors lead out on to a spacious balcony, beautifully shaded by a wooden roof.

Pool
The pool is large and very well supplied with sunloungers and umbrellas. Broad paved terraces surround it, giving plenty of room for sunbathing. Avlaki Beach is one of Corfu's Blue Flag beaches; a long crescent of white pebbles, with gentle cooling breezes most afternoons. The beach is surprisingly quiet and resembles a yet-to-be discovered Caribbean beach!

Gardens
The Bella Mare apartments are very well designed and resemble a group of superior villas, set in lush gardens. The conveniently located pool bar caters for drinks and snacks. There is also a table-tennis facility here. The epitome of the holiday spirit - just the place for a long cool drink in the shade of a palm tree, beside the swimming pool.

Beach
A gate at the end of the pool leads directly onto Avlaki Beach. Avlaki Beach remains surprisingly unspoilt where new building is confined to top-quality villas and one side of the bay is a protected area not available for development. This long crescent of white pebbles is open to the northwesterly winds that come up with amazing regularity almost every afternoon to provide ideal conditions for sailing and windsurfing. The beach is unexpectedly quiet, apart from Sundays, when it attracts discerning locals, and the month of August. At other times it resembles a yet-to-be discovered Caribbean beach!

Water Sports
On the beach you will find a very well run water sports centre with windsurfers and dinghy sailing. Tuition is excellent and this is the chance for you and your family to learn two of the finest water sports.
