THE SPORADES 2006!
The starting point of your 8 day cruise takes
you to the cosmpolitan island of Skiathos. From here,
you will set off on a journey of sun filled days, star filled nights and
a week of adventure exploring some of the most striking islands in all
of Greece. The Sporades, meaning ‘scattered’ islands are spread
out like small green jewels dotted in a cobalt sea. These islands are
well-known for their extreme beauty and the abundance of pine forests
where Skopelos claims the unofficial title of ‘greenest
island in the Mediterranean’.
We will explore the routes of the pirates from centuries past,
where sunken vessels can still be seen today. The islands themselves are
rich in history and each has its own tale to tell of days bygone. Tradition
abounds on all of the Sporades islands and although tourism has been a
strong influence here in more recent years, there are few Greek islands
that still hold their customs and folklore so firmly. So, prepare to step
back in time and enjoy an intimate cruise aboard our exquisite Greek sailing
ship. Hear the call of the sirens song temping you to these unspoilt and
idyllic islands of warm sea breezes, long sunny days and relaxation...

Allocation of cabins and sail to Ag. Ioannis, Pelion - dinner

Breakfast onboard - Organized guided biking/hiking tour or
jeep safari around the beautiful Mt. Pelion region - full day.
Late afternoon departure to Kastro Bay, Skiathos. Late afternoon
swim at beach of Lalaria - Dinner onboard - Overnight |

Breakfast onboard - Optional bus trip into Skiathos town for
guided walking tour around Kastro and Old Skiathos town. Midday
departure to Stafilos Beach, Skopelos for swimming and sunning.
Optional walk to Skopelos town on old Stailos road. Guided evening
Skopelos town walk - rest of evening free to explore the delights
of Skopelos Town - overnight |

Breakfast onboard whilst sailing from Skopelos to the ?deserted
island? of Kyra Panagia, situated in the heart of the National
Marine Park of Alonissos. Guided walk to Monastery, picnic lunch,
and walk to meet the boat at Monastery bay |

Departure to Island of Planitis with stop at secluded beach
for swimming/sunning |

Overnight in the peaceful bay of Planitis with swimming/fishing/dinner
on board |

Midday guided bus tour plus guided tour of hilltop village/lunch
