INTERIOR This large, newly built house is a stunning and unique combination
of modern and traditional, richness and character all rolled into
one fantastic villa. As you enter, your first impression is the
feeling of spaciousness and openness.
The red tiled floors, stained open beamed ceilings and wood details
all blend to make a warm comfortable look to these generous rooms.
Designed for large families and parties, the villa offers a roomy,
modern kitchen complete with built-in oven, dishwasher and microwave.
With a blend of stainless steel appliances and plentiful stained
wooden cupboards, this well equipped kitchen makes cooking fun and
easy. The kitchen is open plan and is next to the dining room, which
boasts a large wooden dining table and French doors leading out
to a terrace that runs the length of the house. Here on the terrace,
you will find another big wooden table for al fresco dining. The
dazzling views from both inside and out are of whitewashed town
houses spilling down to the harbour, views to the sea and the neighbouring
island of Alonissos and of gentle olive green hillsides surrounding
you. Just opposite the dining room there is a sitting area with
built-in style sofa and lamp to cuddle up with your favourite book.
Down a step from this level is a sunken living room, open plan
to the rest of the rooms. It is complete with a corner fireplace,
again with built-in style sofa and French doors on two sides, one
of which leads to the outdoor dining area and the other to the pool.
The four bedrooms of Villa Kamares are spacious and comfortable. A small hallway to the left of the front door reaches the bedroom on the main level of the house. This double-bedded room has open beamed ceilings, large wardrobe space and French doors leading out to the front terrace and a barbeque on the side of the house. Also off the hallway is a w/c shower room, conveniently located right next door to the bedroom.
The other spacious bedrooms are found on the lower level of the house, reached by a red tiled stairway descending from the dining room to a hallway at the bottom. Here you will find three bedrooms, one with two single beds, one with a double bed and he third with both a double and a single bed.
The great feature of this house is that each bedroom has an en suite w/c shower room. Each of the rooms also has French doors leading to the lower level terrace which runs along the front of the house. Each bedrooms terrace area is furnished with a table and chairs and offers a private area to sit out and appreciate the same stunning views as the upper level terrace. Sit under the stone built arches, or 'kamares' in Greek, which are the trademark of the house, or a bit further out in the Greek summer sun and top up your tan, all just a step outside your private bedroom.
EXTERIOR Villa Kamares is a newly built house with great attention paid to detail. Quality has been the keynote, from its furnishings to its building style, with beautiful stone arches and a well thought out design. The pool area is located at the side of the house and is accessed through the French doors from the living room. Pretty, low stone walls and lush landscaping surround it. There is plenty of opportunity for sunbathing on the abundant lounges or just sitting around and relaxing in the peaceful privacy of your own pool. There is also a large table and chairs for outdoor meals to be enjoyed with lovely views down to the bay below.
SURROUNDINGS Villa Kamares is situated in the hills behind the town and is
accessed by a narrow, steeply winding road just above the town centre
(good driving skills necessary). From the house to the port is about
a 7-minute drive and to walk from the house to the nearest restaurant,
about 15 minutes. Its convenient location makes it a great choice
for those wanting the privacy and quiet of the countryside whilst
being very close to the towns’ amenities. Its location on the hillside,
surrounded by olive groves and crisscrossed with donkey paths, makes
it ideal for walkers and hikers.
Below the house and within
a 5-minute walk, there is a fresh water spring with an inlaid sarcophagus
lid dating from the 5th century B.C. and the road leading to Villa
Kamames belongs to a 300 year-old road network linking Skopelos town
with Glossa. Another walk, to the small beach of Glyfoneri takes approximately
45 minutes. Here, on the steep road leading down to the beach, is
an array of typical tavernas with fabulous views out to sea.
SUITABILITY The design and layout of Villa Kamares is perfect for large
get-togethers. This lovely, well-appointed house with its great

TRANSFERS
The services of a Thalpos representative are included in the rental cost. Our representative will meet you on the port of Skopelos/Alonissos upon arrival (1st arriving party for each property) and will give you a Welcome Letter which will include telephone numbers for our office and representatives. Also included will be driving instructions and a map to get to your property independently if you have not booked an escorted transfer with us AND are arriving before dark.

SERVICES
Thalpos provides cleaning service and linen change twice a week, including arrival cleaning (excluding Sundays). Additional maid service can usually be arranged upon request and at an extra fee. Baby cots, high chairs and extra beds can also be arranged on request as well as welcome packs, flowers, champagne, etc. Please speak directly with our office staff for prices and availability.
The main Thalpos Holidays Service Office is located on the harbour front in Skopelos Town, although a personal villa visit may be arranged with our representative the day following your arrival to answer any individual queries. Our staff can help you arrange excursions and car hire, provide tips on what to see and do and let you know of any special events that may be taking place during your stay. Our aim is to provide a highly personalised service to make your holiday with us an unforgettable experience.
In addition, a Thalpos Holidays villa folder will be found in each villa, giving detailed information about the villa and the area including nearest shops, restaurants and beaches.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Even though sometimes possible, clients should not expect to check-in earlier than 14:00. On departure the accommodation must be vacated by 11:00 unless otherwise arranged with our Service Office.
